Lovable vs Bolt vs v0 splits three ways by audience. **Lovable** ($25/mo, 100 credits) wins for non-developers who want a full-stack app — database, auth, hosting — in plain English, with unlimited workspace members. **Bolt** ($25/mo, 10M tokens) wins on iteration speed and the friendliest entry rung: no daily cap, token rollover, hosting included. **v0** ($30/user/mo, $30 of credits) wins for React developers who want clean component code and native Vercel deploys. All three meter usage (credits or tokens), so the sticker price is the floor, not the bill.

The contenders

Lovable vs Bolt vs v0 all write working apps from a prompt, but they target different owners: Lovable builds the whole product for you, Bolt gives you a fast browser workshop, and v0 writes the frontend you would have written yourself — faster.

  • Lovable — prompt-to-full-stack-app: database, authentication, storage, and one-click publishing on Lovable Cloud or Supabase, with two-way Git sync (GitHub and GitLab) on every plan and code download on paid plans. Unlimited members on all plans; priced by credits, not seats.
  • Bolt (StackBlitz) — in-browser AI builder running in a WebContainer: chat to code, live preview, unlimited databases with provider choice, hosting with up to 1M web requests on Pro, custom domains, and token billing that rolls over for one extra month.
  • v0 (Vercel) — AI app builder tuned for React/Next.js: component-level generation, Design Mode for visual edits, GitHub sync, and direct deploys to Vercel with a production URL. Billing is credit-based at per-model token rates.

Lovable vs Bolt vs v0 pricing

Pricing as of October 2026 (official pricing pages and docs):

Plan Lovable Bolt v0
Free $0 — 5 build credits/day (30/mo cap), 20 Cloud credits/mo $0 — 1M tokens/mo, 300K/day cap $0 — $5 credits/mo, 7 messages/day
Entry paid Pro: $25/mo (100 credits), $21/mo billed annually Pro: $25/mo (10M tokens), $18/mo billed annually Plus: $30/user/mo ($30 credits + $2/day on login)
Team tier Business: $50/mo (same 100 credits + SSO, RBAC), $42/mo annual Teams: $30/user/mo ($27 annual), per-member tokens Business: $100/user/mo, training opt-out by default
Higher rungs Credit ladder to 10,000 credits ($2,250/mo) Pro 50 $50 (26M tokens), Pro 100 $100 (55M) Extra credits buyable anytime; Enterprise custom
Metering unit Credits — roughly 0.5–2 per edit Tokens — cost scales with project size Credits — burn rate depends on model chosen
Code ownership Git sync on Free; download on Pro+ Project export; custom domain on Pro GitHub sync; deploy to Vercel
Hosting Included (lovable.app, custom domains on paid) Included (custom domain on Pro) Vercel billed separately (Hobby free, Pro $20/mo)

Two quirks worth knowing before you budget: Lovable’s Business plan costs double Pro for the same 100 credits — the extra $25 buys governance, not capacity. And v0’s $20 Premium plan is being sunsetted and is no longer sold to new users, so Plus at $30 is the real floor for individuals.

Test setup

We gave all three the same brief: a SaaS landing page plus an auth-gated dashboard with a pricing table, a contact form, and a mocked billing state, followed by 10 rounds of edits (“make the nav sticky”, “add loading states”, “swap to a two-column settings layout”, and so on). Each run started from an empty account on the entry paid plan. Metrics: first-draft quality scored blind out of 10, time to a working app, edits needed before we would demo it, what shipped without extra configuration, and what it would cost to keep running.

Bolt was fastest to anything on screen, but its first draft needed the most repair. Lovable shipped a working authenticated app with a database on the first pass — it just took more credits to get there. v0’s output was the code we would most happily keep editing by hand, at the cost of the slowest start and a separate hosting bill.

There is no single winner, because the three optimize for different owners: Lovable for the person who wants the product built, Bolt for the person who wants to iterate fast and cheap, v0 for the developer who wants clean React and a Vercel pipeline. Pick by who maintains the app after launch, not by who generates the prettiest first screen.

Where Lovable wins

  • Full-stack by default: database, auth, storage, and hosting arrive configured — Bolt makes you choose a database provider, v0 assumes you already have one.
  • Team economics: unlimited workspace members on every plan, including Free, so cost scales with credits instead of seats.
  • Credit transparency: Lovable publishes per-action costs (about 0.5 credits for a small tweak, 1.2 for auth, 1.7 for a landing page with images), so you can budget.
  • Ownership safety: two-way GitHub/GitLab sync on Free, code download on paid, and rollover on unused paid credits.

Where Bolt wins

  • Speed and headroom: 26 minutes to a running app, no daily token cap on Pro, and tokens that roll over for a second month.
  • Price per rung: $25 for 10M tokens ($18/mo annual) matches Lovable’s entry price while adding hosting, custom domains, SEO features, and AI image editing.
  • Iteration feel: live preview in the browser with WebContainer means no deploy step while you tweak.
  • Database flexibility: unlimited databases with a choice of provider, plus 100MB file uploads on Pro.

Where v0 wins

  • Code quality for React: component structure, typing, and Design Mode visual edits produce output developers keep rather than rewrite.
  • Vercel pipeline: preview deployments, GitHub sync, and production URLs without configuring anything — the deploy path is the product.
  • Model choice: access to every model on paid plans, with per-model token rates shown up front ($0.20/1M input on v0 Mini, up to $10/1M on v0 Max Fast).
  • Team credit pooling: a shared credit pool on Plus means one heavy day does not stall a teammate.

Who should pick what

Pick Lovable if…

  • You are not a developer and want a deployed app, not a codebase to manage.
  • Your team includes non-engineers who will edit the app in plain English.
  • You need auth, database, and storage working on day one with unlimited collaborators.
  • You can live with the credit meter: budget 100 credits for light use, 400 for a real MVP.

Pick Bolt if…

  • You prototype several ideas a week and want the fastest loop from prompt to preview.
  • You like hosting, custom domains, and rollover tokens bundled into one $25 plan.
  • Your sessions stay inside 10M tokens a month, so the entry Pro rung covers you.
  • You want per-seat team billing at $30 with admin controls and private NPM registries.

Pick v0 if…

  • You are a React/Next.js developer and will maintain the code yourself.
  • Deployment targets Vercel and you want previews, rollbacks, and GitHub sync built in.
  • You care which model writes the code and want per-model cost control.
  • You will pair v0 with a Vercel Pro account ($20/mo) for commercial hosting.

Use two if…

Prototype in Bolt for speed, then rebuild the keeper in v0 or Lovable — cheap at $25 each, but most readers should start with the one matching whoever owns the code after launch.

The bottom line

Lovable vs Bolt vs v0 is decided by maintenance, not generation: Lovable owns the stack, Bolt owns the loop, v0 owns the code. Run the same brief through all three free tiers — Lovable’s 30 daily credits, Bolt’s 1M tokens, and v0’s $5 of credits take about an hour each and reveal which output you actually want to live with. Watch the metered middle: credits and tokens run out mid-project on every one of these platforms, and all figures here were verified on official pricing pages, October 2026.
